Dlatego do musimy wjechac do kraju z odliczona gotówką, najlepiej w twardej walucie.

Ach odpoczynek w Meghri, to były czasy…😉

Last day without getting on a bike and going up the hill with the packs!
Yes, we know, it sounds weird but believe us, after 7 days of non-stop falling between three and four thousanders in the heat with sleeping in the wild a little rest is really required. It is a comfortable hostel, you can take a day trip, overwork your clothes. There is also a pretty cool pool with refreshing, clear water from the creek. It is difficult for better conditions after such a match-up in the heat.

We eat, sleep, bathe, make up for contact with close ones because, of course, the hostel is equiped with wifi. We really rest. We again start to calculate currency and wonder if it is possible to exchange the Armenian drama on the Iranian rials before the border or on the Iranian side. An additional mystery is whether or not it is better to exchange dollars on rials but this can only be done on the Iranian side. We also know that there are no cards in Visa and Master Card systems in Iran. That is why we have to go to Iran with a deduction in cash, preferably in hard currency.

As it turns out, monetary mathematics is just the beginning of an adventure in the land of Persian ancestors. Already the border crossing, although almost empty, provides us with a great deal of experience. Someone from an insurance company unknown to us insist on insurance policies and pay for them by saying that without this we will not pass passport control. It does not help explaining that we already have a policy, because after all we have not got a visa to Iran, etc. After about an hour of fighting and consulting with the Polish embassy in Tehran, we pretend to „beat” a man from the insurance company. All the procedures at the border take up so much time that we are forced to verify our plans for that day. In addition, one of our participants – Ania experiences broken tube which effectively stops thre e people from the team in the border town already on the Iranian side. As if there was little heat is going on and again it is sharply upwards. Ah rest in Meghri, these were cool times.
… 😉
