Andrzej Przybylski
Andrzej Przybylski – 8 lat temu podjął najlepszą decyzję w swoim życiu zostając harcerzem. W wolnych chwilach wspina się w skałkach, studiuje automatykę i robotykę na Politechnice Warszawskiej i czyta literaturę klasyczną.
Łukasz Tomala
Łukasz Tomala – dużą część życia poświęca harcerstwu – jest instruktorem odpowiedzialnym za program i wizerunek Hufca ZHP Radom-Miasto. Od kilku lat jeździ a wyprawy rowerowe i tak jak Ania przejechał kilka krajów europejskich.
Anna Tomala
Anna Rupniewska – od 5 lat instruktorka w ZHP. Jej największą pasją jest harcerstwo, języki obce i literatura. W harcerstwie najbardziej lubi kształcić przyszłych drużynowych i instruktorów. Ulubiony środek transportu to rower który daje jej wolność i niezależność. Przed projektem sztafety rowerowej na swoim koncie miała już kilka podróży przez kraje europejskie.

In 1937, a group of boy scouts from Radom (Poland) guided by their leader Piotr Wykrota decided to embark on a cycling trip to World Scout Jamboree in the Netherlands. They went all the way with the “Łucznik” bikes produced at the Arms Factory “Fabryka Broni” in Radom. Today, after 82 years, we want to repeat their achievement.
The expedition under the name “Retro Bike Jamboree” will be a special stage of Bike Jamboree – a bicycle relay around the world. In July 2019 we are going to ride over 1000 km on vintage bicycles across the United States – from Chicago, through Radom, Illinois, to Glen Jean, West Virginia, where the World Scout Jamboree will take place. Our team consists of:
- girl guides and scouts from the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association from Radom
- members of “The Springy” Association from Radom, fascinated with old bicycles (Towarzystwo Retrocycklistów “Sprężyści”)
- creators of historical films and spectacles from the “ViS-Radom” Association
The family of Piotr Wykrota, who managed to cyce from Radom to the WSJ with his scouts, will be repeating their relative’s achievement – his grandson Łukasz and his daughter Zuzia are also members of the 29. Retro Stage team.
Retro Bike Jamboree is not just a bicycle challenge. On the route, we are planning to organise educational events and meetings with the Polish diaspora. We are going to:
- show historical films by Przemysław and Bartosz Bednarczyk (including award-winning 1983))
- take part in the parade on US Independence Day in Chicago with our retro bicycles
- visit Radom, Illinois – one of the oldest settlements founded by Poles in the USA
- show the Mobile Bicycle Museum during the World Scout Jamboree
